Description:  To create credible and relevant assessments, assessment professionals need to be fully aware of the range of options open to them, including the options for technology-based assessment.

Many qualifications in the UK use a wide range of task types.

This session will look at a wide range of assessment types, their key features, where they are considered valuable and the settings in which they could be used.

The programme also discusses the limitations of these assessment types in terms of validity and reliability, as well as the performance monitoring approaches that can be used to evaluate their quality in practice.
