AlphaPlus Directors leading Functional Skills service delivery
Gavin Busuttil-Reynaud. Gavin has extensive prior experience of project managing and quality assuring high stakes assessment development and trials for a number of clients. Gavin is currently leading on the development of functional skills assessments at Level 1 and Level 2 for two AOs. He has previously managed test development for a number of other clients, including City & Guilds, the Welsh Assembly Government and UfI (LearnDirect).
Tom Mitchell. Tom has project managed, quality assured, and developed Level 1 and Level 2 functional skills ICT assessments for City & Guilds, NCFE and SQA, both on paper and for delivery on the BTL platform. During the initial Functional Skills accreditation process, he was one of six consultants working for QCDA, reviewing awarding bodies' accreditation submissions for ICT Functional Skills, providing feedback and advice on improving the assessment instrument, and making recommendations to QCDA on whether or not accreditation should be granted.

Our project management is always led by an AlphaPlus director. We manage a pool of over 100 associates who are experts in a range of educational fields, including test authoring. Over a dozen of these associates have functional skills authoring expertise.
